Announcements

  • Dear gardeners & friends,

Don't let the snow and ice fool you - it's time to think about gardening! If you plan to garden at Quann in 2020, and we hope you do, you must register. If you do not register, you forfeit your plot. There are two ways to register:

Register in-person: Join us on Thursday, March 5, 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, or on Saturday, March 7, 10:00 AM to noon, at the Catholic Multicultural Center on 1862 Beld St. We'll have free seeds from The Bruce Company!

Register by mail: Returning gardeners will have forms mailed to them. Forms are also available on our website www.quanngardens.org
Return the forms and your check no later than March 15 to Anne Perrote at 617 Olin Ave. Madison, WI 53715.
There is only available if ordered 2 weeks before Opening Day.

Registration questions? Reach Anne at: asperrote3@juno.com or (608) 251-3115. Or for Spanish speakers, reach Oscar Rodriguez at orodgarza2017@gmail.com or (608) 255-0123.

And while you're thinking about Quann ...
Opening Day is Saturday, April 25, from 9: 00-11: 00 am! We need help to distribute hay and prepare the garden for the year - this is a great way to start your 2020 service hours. Note: if you ordered more than five bales of hay, you must be present at Opening Day to help move them to your plot.
Mark your calendars for June 1– that's the deadline for gardeners to have started work in plots, otherwise plots will be forfeited.
Getting Quann emails and announcements? If not, contact Dave Wegner to be added to the list at quanncommunitygarden@gmail.com .
Make 2020 the year to be more involved at Quann! Did you know our garden is completely run by volunteers? That means what we accomplish, and how the garden is run, is truly up to all of us. And we need your help! You can fulfill your service hours by working with our committees to do tasks such as helping with translation, communication, registration, social events, monitoring plots, and more. For more, check our Facebook page and website: www.quanngardens.org

It's time to register for your lot

    Dear gardeners and friends:

    1. In person: Join us on Wednesday, March 5 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm or on Saturday, March 7 from 10 am to noon, at the Catholic Multicultural Center on 1862 Beld Street. We will have free seeds donated by Bruce Company!

    1. By mail: Send the forms with your check within March 17 to Anne Perrote at 617 Olin Ave. Madison, WI 53715.

They have questions?  Contact Anne: asperrote3@juno.com or at (608) 251-3115. If you prefer to speak in Spanish, contact   Oscar Rodriguez at          orodgarza2017@gmail.com or (608) 255-0123.

And since we're talking about Quann ... The opening day is Saturday April 25 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am! We need help distributing the straw bundles and preparing the garden for the new season. This is a very good way to start covering your mandatory service hours for 2019. Notice: if you ordered more than 5 straws of straw, you have to be present on April 22 to take them to your lot.

    • Mark your calendar on June 1 - this is the deadline for gardeners to start working their orchards, otherwise they will lose their lot.

    • If you are not receiving emails and notifications from the Quann Garden, contact Dave Wegner ( quanncommunitygarden@gmail.com ) to add them to the list.

    • Make 2020 the year you get more involved in the Quann Orchard! Did you know that our garden is fully operated by volunteers? This means that what we achieve and the proper functioning of the garden really depend on all of us. And we need your help! They can cover their service hours by working with our committees to do tasks such as helping with translations, communication, children's garden, registration, social events, batch monitoring and more. Read more about the committees on our Facebook page and website: www.quanngardens.org

We hope to see you at Quann this spring!
